Kindergarten classrooms renovated and furnished

For the youngest children, the difference between a bare room and a classroom is a coat of paint, a set of chairs their size and something to play with. Since our early days at Hibret Primary School, renovating and equipping kindergarten classrooms inside public schools has been part of how we keep children learning.

Volunteers repainted the classroom block, new small chairs and tables were delivered, and the year ended the way every school year should: with caps, gowns and a graduation photograph.

Early childhood education gives children from the poorest families a fair start in Grade 1 — and gives their mothers a few safe hours a day to earn.
