What we do

Child Protection & Legal Support

Children without documents, family or protection are easy to exploit. We work with the authorities to make them visible and safe.

We facilitate free birth certificates for destitute children, reconcile documents with the Women, Youth and Children Affairs office and follow up cases that need legal help.

Child-abuse response protocols, with special emphasis on preventing sexual abuse of girls, are implemented in partner schools, and children and families receive legal information and education.

Children living on the street are identified through our volunteers and reintegrated into schooling and family or community care.

What this includes

  • Free birth certificates for destitute children
  • Child-abuse response protocols in schools
  • Legal information and education for children and families
  • Case referrals to Women, Youth and Children Affairs offices
  • Identification and reintegration of children living on the street
